Build a tattoo website with AI (Lovable, Bolt, v0) and connect it to your tattoo app

Updated October 8, 2026

In short

An AI-built tattoo website (Lovable, Bolt, v0, Framer, Cursor or Claude Code) stays up to date when it pulls flash, request form and free days live from your tattoo app instead of hard-coding them. With Taddoo you do this through the website API: in the app under Settings, Embed on your website you copy a ready-made prompt with your API key, paste it into your coding agent, and it builds everything into your design with the official SDK. Every request and flash booking then lands in the Taddoo app. The API is included in every plan and works once your account has a card on file.

Key takeaways
  • AI builds your website in hours, but flash, prices and free days hard-coded into it go stale fast.
  • Better: the website pulls everything live from your tattoo app. You update in one place only.
  • With Taddoo you copy a ready-made prompt from the app, and your coding agent does the rest.
  • Requests from the website arrive in the app as projects with reference images, not as loose emails.
  • The website API is included in every Taddoo plan and works once your account has a card on file.

Why so many tattoo artists now build their website with AI

With tools like Lovable, Bolt, v0, Framer or Cursor you describe your website in a few sentences and the AI builds it: home page, portfolio, about, contact. What used to take an agency and a few thousand francs is done in an afternoon, in your own look and without a template.

The problem shows up a week later. The AI wrote your flash, prices and "books open" straight into the code. New flash, books closed, guest spot in Berlin: every change means another prompt, preview and publish. And the contact form only sends an email that you copy into your calendar by hand.

The fix: connect your website and your tattoo app

Instead of hard-coding the content, the website pulls it live from your tattoo app. You upload a flash in the app and it is on the website. You close your books and the form shows it. Requests from the website do not end up in your inbox but sorted in the app, with everything you need to reply.

  • Flash gallery with sizes, prices and free slots, booking with deposit via Stripe
  • Request form with exactly your questions, placement, size and reference images
  • Availability: free days, guest spots, books open or closed
  • Waitlists per location and gift vouchers to buy
  • Fixed services like a booking menu: small tattoo 1 h for CHF 250, piercing or tooth gems, with price, duration, deposit and reference images

Fixed services: your booking menu on the website

Many studios work with fixed offers: a small tattoo at the minimum price, a medium one for half a day, a large project at an hourly rate. In Taddoo you add the Tattoo services block to your artist page and set up your services in it (the same works for piercing, tooth gems and your own services). For each service you set the duration, the price (fixed, range, from, per hour or on request), the deposit (none, an amount or a percentage) and up to 8 reference images that show what is included.

For each service you also decide how it is booked: with Choose a time the client picks a free slot from your calendar and pays the deposit via Stripe, if you set one. With Request only they send a request with the service, and you confirm in the app. Your AI website shows the services as cards in your design and links to the booking; the services come live through the API (GET /api/v1/services).

Why not build everything yourself?

An AI will also build you a database, email sending and a booking calendar. But then it runs on your own accounts with several providers, each with its own bill, limits and maintenance. And you are responsible when a reminder does not go out, client data gets lost or privacy is not right. Roughly, an own setup looks like this (list prices, autumn 2026):

How to connect your AI website to Taddoo

  1. Sign up for Taddoo and add a card. The free trial keeps running, nothing is charged before it ends.
  2. Turn on your artist page in the app (Flash tab, My page). The API shows exactly what is public there.
  3. In the app open Settings, Embed on your website, card "Connect with a coding agent", and tap Copy prompt. On a computer you find the same prompt at taddoo.com/website-api.
  4. Paste the prompt into Lovable, Bolt, v0, Cursor or Claude Code. It contains your API key and the link to the docs.
  5. The agent reads the developer docs, installs the official SDK and builds flash, form and availability into your design.

What happens to requests and bookings

A request from your website lands in the Taddoo app as a project with idea, placement, size, preferred date and reference images, and you get a push. You reply on the channel the client chose and send the booking link with one tap. When a client books a flash, they pay the deposit via Stripe and the appointment sits in your calendar. Nobody simply books themselves into your time: only what you release can be booked directly, meaning flash set to Book directly and fixed services set to Choose a time.

No coded website of your own?

If you use Wix, Squarespace or WordPress you do not need the API: embed the request form with a short HTML code. The guide Embed the request form on your own website shows how. And if you do not want a website at all, use the link in bio at taddoo.com/@yourname.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I build my tattoo website with AI and still take bookings?

Yes. Connect the website to your tattoo app through the Taddoo API. It then shows flash with free slots and deposit, your request form and your free days, and everything lands in the app.

Can my AI website show fixed tattoo services with a price and let clients book them?

Yes. Add the Tattoo services block to your artist page in the Taddoo app and set up your services in it, for example a small tattoo, 1 h, for CHF 250 or a medium tattoo, 4 h, for CHF 300 to 500. The website loads them through the API and shows them as cards. For each service you choose whether the client books a time with a deposit directly or sends a request first.

Which AI tools work with the Taddoo API?

Every tool that writes code: Lovable, Bolt, v0, Framer, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex or Replit. The agent reads the docs at taddoo.com/developers and uses the official SDK @taddoo/sdk.

Why not just build my own database and email sending?

Because you would then pay and maintain several providers (database, hosting, email, booking tool), quickly 75 USD or more per month, and be responsible for privacy, backups and reminders yourself. Taddoo brings all of that from 14 CHF per month, plus the app for iPhone, iPad and Android.

What does the website API cost?

It is included in every Taddoo plan. It works as soon as your account is registered and has a card on file.

Is my API key safe on the website?

Yes. The key is meant to be public: it only shows what is visible on your Taddoo page anyway and accepts requests. You can restrict it to your domains and replace it at any time.

Is this available for tattoo studios too?

Yes. A Taddoo studio account gets one key for the studio page, the studio request form and all linked artists with their flash.
