How the calculation works

With a revenue share the artist pays the studio a percentage of their revenue, often 30 to 50 percent. The studio shares the risk: in a slow month it gets less.

With chair rent the artist pays a fixed monthly amount. For busy artists it is usually cheaper, for newcomers riskier. The calculator shows the revenue above which rent beats the percentage.

Day rates are common for guest spots: a fixed amount per working day in the studio. With Taddoo Studio you store the deal per artist, and the studio sees its share automatically in the statement.

Frequently asked questions

Which is fairer, chair rent or percentage?

Both can be fair. A percentage fits when the studio brings clients, front desk and marketing. Rent fits when the artist brings their own clients and wants predictable costs.

How does Taddoo Studio handle the deal?

The deal is stored per artist (rent, day rate, revenue share or daily minimum). The studio sees its share as far as the artist shares revenue, and can send monthly invoices to the artists. Every artist stays independent with their own app.

Are my entries saved?

No. The calculator runs only in your browser, nothing is sent or stored.
